AI Takes Japan's University Entrance Examination Test

Generative AIs such as "ChatGPT," a hot topic recently, took the Japanese university entrance exam. Three types of AI were tested: "Bard," developed by Google; "GPT-4" by OpenAI; and "Claude2" by Anthropic. The results were a resounding victory for the GPT-4, which outperformed the average scores of human examinees in Japanese, English, world history, Japanese history, and science. It was found to be particularly good at word-filling and true or false quizzes. Conversely, all AIs scored below the average in mathematics, proving they are not good at mathematics.

近年きんねん話題わだいとなっている「ChatGPT」などの生成せいせいAIが、日本にほんの大学だいがく入試にゅうしテストを受うけました。テストを受うけたのはGoogleが開発かいはつした「Bard」、OpenAIの「GPT-4」、Anthropicの「Claude2」の3種類しゅるいです。結果けっかはGPT-4の圧勝あっしょうで、国語こくご、英語えいご、世界せかい史し、日本にほん史し、理科りかなどで人間にんげんの受験者じゅけんしゃの平均点へいきんてんを上回うわまわりました。特とくに言葉ことばの穴埋あなうめやマルバツ問題もんだいが得意とくいなことがわかりました。一方いっぽう、数学すうがくでは全すべてのAIが平均点へいきんてんより下回したまわる結果けっかとなり、数学すうがくが苦手にがてなことが証明しょうめいされました。
