去年の１０月からヨットでの世界一周のため出発していた木村啓嗣さんが９日、無事に日本に帰り、日本人最年少での快挙を達成しました。
木村さんは記者会見で、「昨日はゴールした安心感、今日はうれしさが強くなっている。やりきってよかった」と語りました。
大分県出身で、元海上自衛官の木村さんは、セレモニーで最高齢で太平洋横断に成功したことで知られる海洋冒険家の堀江謙一さんの祝福を受けました。堀江氏は「今度は世界最高齢で世界一周の記録樹立を目標に頑張ってほしい」と述べました。

Hirotsugu Kimura, 24, Becomes Youngest Japanese to Successfully Circumnavigate the Globe by Yacht
Hirotsugu Kimura, who set off on a journey to circumnavigate the globe by yacht last October, returned safely to Japan on the 9th, becoming the youngest Japanese to accomplish this remarkable feat.
At a press conference, Kimura shared, "Yesterday, I felt an immense sense of relief upon reaching the finish line, and today, the joy is overwhelming. I'm thrilled to have achieved this."
Originally from Oita Prefecture and a former officer in the Maritime Self-Defense Force, Kimura was welcomed at the ceremony by Kenichi Horie, the famous maritime adventurer known for being the oldest person to cross the Pacific Ocean. Horie remarked, "I hope you strive to become the oldest person to circumnavigate the globe next."
