Professional tennis player Naomi Osaka has become the world's highest-earning female athlete this year. Her annual income was $51.1 million, with Serena Williams in second place at $41.3 million. Naomi Osaka is from Osaka, Japan, and her mother is Japanese, and her father is Haitian-American. Incidentally, her birthplace, Osaka, and her last name, Osaka, read the same but have different kanji.
